23: My first day as a mechanical engineer
This is a funny little silhouette photo of a potgut in Joshua Tree, sitting on top of a rock.

Today was good! The title is in reference to my newfound role as a MechE intern. The Mechanical team at work doesn't have any interns, but electrical has eight, so they assigned a couple of us to work with mechanical on a project that they need done ASAP. It's just been tagging for me, which is the marking of specific components on the floor plans and construction sheets with their appropriate part numbers and lining everything up so the labels are all legible, which is harder than it should be, and when you're labeling something like 80 TS Tanks (I have no idea what those are) it can get old. It wasn't too bad today though, Raymond, the other intern that's been converted to mechanical with me, and I locked in pretty hard, and got a significant chunk of what we needed to get done done. It all needs to be done by Thursday, and at this rate we'll have it done probably by lunchtime tomorrow, which is great.
