Welcome!
Welcome to my website! Hopefully you're here looking for the right Luke Oliver; I'm a 21-year old college student studying electrical engineering, originally from Salt Lake City, Utah.
This website is primarily to host my blog, the daily posts from which you can see on the home page. At the time of writing I've published one per day since I started the blog in June of 2025. Almost all of the posts will have a public section, and then a "members only" section. The membership is so that I can give specifics about my life, without doxxing the people around me to the larger internet. Becoming a member is free, and only requires your name and email. Becoming a member does require an invite, but if we're acquainted enough that I know you can be trusted, you're more than welcome to become a member. Even if I don't know you, I only ask that you send me an email ([email protected]) about who you are and why you want to read my blog, I'm all for free internet discourse.
Also on this site are my Photography and Engineering portfolios, which can be accessed from the links in the header. The Photography portfolio will constantly be updated as I take more photos that I think are worthy of inclusion. The Engineering portfolio is currently under construction, but it's one of my long-term goals to properly catalog the processes behind some of my projects.
If you're here looking for some of the other things I host, they can usually be accessed by a subdomain. mcmap.lukeoliver.net, for example, links to a dynamic map of my minecraft world, which is itself hosted at a different subdomain, only accessible from within Minecraft, and then only via the correct version and mods. There are a few other subdomains that I use (image hosting, file hosting, notes, my movie server, etc.) but I'm not going to put those here. If you need access to something that I've told you about in the past and can't remember the link, just shoot me a text or an email.
