12: I am quickly going to run out of titles
Photo of the moon I took a while back, not half bad.

What the title says. I like to think that I'm a decently creative person, but a new, fun, at least mildly interesting title every single day is a hard ask. I've made it this far, what, a week and a half? I don't think I'll notice the first time I repeat a title with a pun in it, because it absolutely will happen in the near future.

Not a ton to talk about today, work was good, more of the same thing I've been working on for a while. I will probably get it finished tomorrow, and then it's back to no-work crossword jail for me.

I changed the switches in my work keyboard from the Holy Pandas to Silent Yellows (which will mean nothing unless you're really into keyboards, though you could probably look it up and learn some of the importance). The key thing is the "silent" part, the silent yellows have little rubber pieces inside that make the click and clack go away on all but the large keys, and I quite like the swishing sound it now makes. I've been doing a lot of typing this week, so the clicking started to get on my nerves, which means it was probably getting on everyone else's nerves too. It was also a great excuse to light about 30 minutes on fire and give my keyboard an in-depth clean, which it hasn't had in a while.

I haven't decided what I'm going to do with my weekend yet; I'm going to try to convince some of my intern friends to go to downtown DC with me and let me use them as models (photography is a lot of fun, but pictures of friends are by far the best ones). I don't think I'll be successful, but I'll probably still train to downtown on Saturday and hit the national mall and maybe a couple museums, I've got a lot to see.

The new Destiny 2 expansion launches on Tuesday, and I still haven't bought it. I almost definitely will, I'm so thoroughly entrenched in that game that missing an expansion launch would be like missing my own graduation, but I'm not as excited for this expansion as I have been for many of the other ones. I hope for the sake of the game that it's good, if it flops Destiny may not survive much longer, which would be really unfortunate. I do love Destiny, but the real driving factor is that it's the game I play with my dad (hi dad!), the only one, really, and that's a really important thing for me to keep alive. I love my dad, but I don't think he would adapt well to a different game, and losing this common activity would mean losing some important family time. My brother also technically plays, but the days when he decides that I'm important enough for him to acknowledge me have grown scarce as he goes through his teenage years, so that's less of a direct impact. If you're reading this Seth, you're a bum, and I love you.
