54: Homeward Bound, if only for the moment

54: Homeward Bound, if only for the moment
This is a slightly anachronistic but still faithful photo of my home. There isn't any snow on the ground at the moment!

It has been a long day.

I woke up this morning in DC at 4:30 AM, rolled out of bed, packed the last of my things, and then ubered to the airport. The flight was scheduled for 7:06 or something, so I was significantly early, but I always get to the airport a few hours early, even if it means getting there at 5 in the morning.

I started reading The Feminine Mystique, by Betty Friedan while waiting for my first flight, and then read through that flight, the short layover, and the second flight. I did stop briefly for a breakfast burrito in Denver (where my layover was), but otherwise I was either moving or reading or both.
