28: "Hey, are you a professional?"
Today was good, and filled with interesting interactions. I got up at ~9:30 and went to downtown DC, which was cool, again. By "cool" I of course do not mean temperature-wise, it was a solid 85 degrees and 80% humidity. I took my skateboard this time, which was fun, but also somewhat annoying. The sidewalks on the national mall are made of this knobbly concrete with large particulate in it, so while it was still faster than walking, I did an unreasonable amount of pushing and rattling today, which was annoying. That being said, however, the sidewalks on Pennsylvania Avenue are this lovely square brick pattern, and their seams run at a 45 degree angle to the street, which made them impeccably smooth.
