67: "Don't wear it for you, wear it for your family and friends"
This is the corner of my room with the sofa, as well as my wall-mounting for my shoes, skateboard helmet, and wrist guards. The chunk of carbon fiber can be seen there hanging alongside my current board, in what will become the skateboard corner.

The title is a line from an electric skateboarding tutorial about why you should wear a helmet. I do wear a helmet, to be perfectly clear, I just found it fascinating that they would put this kind of thing in writing, because it's kinda true. I couldn't care less about my personal safety, I am willing to assert my pedestrian right of way, even in situations that have a good chance of getting me injured, but by invoking the suffering of others, personally irresponsible behavior can be reframed, and then avoided.
