357: Playing with Time
I've been on the fence about how to handle time-changes and living on the other side of the world for a while, but I think I've figured it out.
The server runs on Pacific time, so whatever time I "publish" it at is rendered in PDT/PST, but all this really means is that I'm going to have to manually change the time/date each time. I already do that, because if I finish the post after midnight I have to play Ministry of Truth, and I check it every time before I publish the post. Italy is 9 hours ahead of Pacific time, so what I can actually also do is just schedule the posts for 11:59PM Pacific time, which is 8:59AM in Rome (the next day).
I should have a ton of bandwidth to make my posts, and honestly, the timing works out such that I might just post them at the actual time of writing, because if I'm writing them at night in Italy, then they'll be posted early afternoon day-of in Pacific time, which my readers might appreciate. Then I won't have to worry about it either.
