270: On the town

270: On the town
Here's another picture of one of the micro-porsches that were at the porsche museum; they're really cute so I have a bunch of photos of them.

I'm going to lie and say that I'm going to keep this one short, but it is my intention.

It's 1:20 AM as I write this, so I'm going to only talk about the fun parts, and I'm not going to go into much detail (sorry).

I only had two classes today; Italian, which was great, as always, and then EE 348, which took me out back and shot me in the head. It's the first week, so I expected the first lab to be nothing (we don't have lab kits yet), and boy was I wrong.

We ended up taking the entire 3 hours, and then barely scraping by with the data by working with another team, and it wasn't even really our fault! This lab relied on the bench-top supplies and connection to the bench-top PC, which was just... not working. On like 4 of the 8 benches. We spent almost two hours trying to figure out what the hell was going on, and it was really annoying.

After that (at like 3:10), I went home and grabbed my soldering stuff, and then skated to the hangar to do some wind power!

I had a little trouble with the board (things coming loose), but it got me there, and boy have I missed riding it. Genuinely so much fun.

I spent almost 5 hours in the Wind Power room (left at like 7:30PM) working on wiring with Cody, Kate, Arlo, and Mason (shoutout Kate, Arlo, and Mason for putting in the work, love my team this year). We got everything properly put together, even with some small hiccups (didn't have one of the connectors I thought we did), we got everything put together for tomorrow (when we're doing tunnel testing).

After I left Wind Power I zipped home to exchange my stuff, and then rode over to El's, because we (larger we, more on this in a sec) were going out on the town!

Caroline and Sabina were going out for their 21st (and a half, respectively), and the group ballooned a little bit to include El's roommates and myself, people that normally wouldn't party, but it was a fun crew.

We were out for a good long while (got back to El's at like 12:30AM), and it's definitely not my scene, but it was fun. I'd never really been to a college-town bar, and I have to say it's about what I expected, but I did have some really fun random interactions with people I barely knew or didn't know at all.

I'm now back home, and I don't have class tomorrow until noon, so I am going to sleep in 😴
