266: Humans are amazing

I’ve got quite the story from today, and it’s not even over as I’m writing this, but the biggest takeaway for me is just how fantastic and helpful other people are. I would describe myself as a social optimist; I think that humans default to kindness far more than people think and assume, and I do my best to always give the benefit of the doubt and be as helpful as possible to those around me (sometimes to a fault). I think a lot of small kindnesses get overlooked and forgotten in the happenings of life, but every one of those little things is an active choice, made by those involved, to be as good of a person as they can be, and I think it’s beautiful.
