239: Back into the thick of it
I don't know how this happened so fast, but my week is already scheduled out the wazoo.
To be fair, my definition of "heavily scheduled" is having an event to attend every night of the week, which is true this week, but isn't actually that much of a tax on my time.
It's a weird limbo that I inhabit, because I freaking love getting invited to stuff. It's a friend of mine's 21st on Saturday, and when she sent me a little invite flyer I felt warm and fuzzy inside, because we weren't anywhere near that close until a couple months ago, and now I get invited to things as part of a friend group!
On the other hand though, I thrive on unscheduled free time. I do just burn a lot of it on my computer, learning things on the internet or participating in media discourse, but it's also when I get the random spurts of motivation to do my projects; the idle mind is fertile ground for good ideas.
I think I'm up against my scheduling limit for this week though, I don't have much homework to be doing, but the homework I do need to be doing is getting its possible working hours slashed, and this is fine, theoretically, but situations in which I need to be doing one particular thing are not situations in which I thrive.
