232: Relatively little to do
And the word "relatively" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that title. I had a presentation this morning, and spent like 5 hours at the library doing work, but it was only an assignment and a half (Stats homework and then some Italian studying). It took me a while, but it didn't feel like a long time, and I was sitting with friends, so I definitely wasn't at peak efficiency.
I got the things I needed to done though, and that's what counts.
We had our Wind Power Project Dev design review, which was neat, but not my wheelhouse, and I had to leave early (I used an excuse to leave early because I didn't care, sorry project dev, but I don't have anything useful to add). The excuse to leave early was Katelyn's bike having a flat tire, which we pumped up and partially fixed (the valve core wasn't in all the way, easy fix). It got her home but the front tube is just going to need to be replaced, which is fine, she got that bike for like $70.
Katelyn really wanted to ride my skateboard on the way back to my dorm, so I ended up pushing her bike, but she loved it, I genuinely don't know if I've ever seen her with that much childlike glee, it was very endearing, and she seemed at least partially serious when I offered to let her borrow my manual board and teach her how to ride it. I would love to teach this hobby/passion of mine to one of my closest friends, so I really hope she was serious; I'll probably bring it up again once we're not both so busy (multiple midterms this week each).
She hung out for a little while and we both just worked on stuff, because her bike light was dead & we plugged it in for her ride home, but it was nice to just hang out. Our relationship dynamic is unique, and always fun.
