228: Not Progress!!

I managed to miss the spacing of the center hole line on my longboard by about half a millimeter per hole (they're like 39.5mm instead of 40mm), which means that the electronics don't really fit.

The current setup is a mess. I've managed to fit two or 3 or 4 of the 10 bolts in a row in, but 5 and 6 are too tight, and the holes no longer line up. There are five subsections of rail (the mounting scheme of the system), and because of the size of the batteries that slide in, I have it set up with 3 rails, skipping one-on-one-off, and it technically works, but I don't know if it would actually be strong enough to hold on; I haven't ridden it yet. Putting this thing all the way apart or together takes forever, because the bolts are long and have to be tight, and then the motors and belt tension are so hard to nail down, so it takes me a bunch of tries.

That being said though, the board is almost put together, and if tomorrow goes as planned I should be able to get it running tomorrow afternoon/evening. Hopefully it doesn't try to kill me.

The grip tape is mid, it just looks plasma-ey, so we'll see if it looks any good in light or after riding it, but as I think I mentioned yesterday, grip tape is pretty cheap, so I'll make the decision soon-ish on whether to keep this or pick something else, because there are some pretty cool options.

Otherwise, today I went to class, did class, did (very little) homework, and then worked on my skateboard. I'm on call rn, so I had to do all of that rigamarole, and I've been playing Terraria with Cody for a few hours, so it's now 1:25 AM. Yippee!

I only have two classes tomorrow, and technically speaking, I don't have much to work on this weekend, but it does feel a little bad internally to not work on any homework outside of class time.
