214: Through the fire and the flames

This is the view from my house on the SLuver, with my realllly far render distance and shaders on, you can see the castle some of the residents are building right in front of the moon, I think it's dope.

We've made it! Into the easy (er) part.

I had my Stats midterm and a lab today, which both went pretty well. We got the lab done very early, which allowed me to get lunch and do the wordle and the mini (and chill out) before my midterm. The midterm itself also went well! I still have trouble differentiating the Poisson and Exponential distributions, because they're tightly connected, but I figured it out on question 2, and I'm confident in my answers for 1 and 3.

I've done no work since then, because I am burnt out. I played some minecraft, watched some video essays, and 3D-printed those can lid things in TPU. I don't know if I ever mentioned the can lids, but they're little plastic/rubber things you slide under the tab of a can to close them for transport (like in a backpack). The plastic ones I printed a few weeks ago work alright, but I know the rubber ones will be better, rubber is just a lot more annoying to print with, so I had been procrastinating it. I probably won't have a monster tomorrow, because it's a Friday, but I might try to find a can to use them on.

It's hot here, and it's getting really annoying, honestly. It should not be high 70s in my bedroom in FEBRUARY. I have the window open and the fan running full blast, but the air outside isn't even that much cooler.

Bowling today was great; I got like a 152, and I'm getting a lot better at picking up spares, which is honestly the more important skill, because I can still pull strikes when I need to, but being able to clean up the spare is amazing as the backup, because I can't be striking every time, and catching the spare is so so much better than no bonus at all.

Italian club was also pretty good, but I didn't feel at all locked in today. I think it's mostly just being super tired, my brain just couldn't really do it today.

I also thought I was on call tonight and Saturday night, but it turns out I'm not, I just had way too many shifts marked in my calendar, which makes a lot of sense. I thought it was kind of a lot of shifts, I think I had only added and not subtracted for some of my shift trades, so I double-checked everything, and it's not as bad as I thought, which is awesome.

That's about all from me today; I'm going to go get some sleep.
