210: I have to be awake in like five hours.
Today was pretty good, honestly.
I got up at like 11, showered, grabbed breakfast, and then went to Wind Power. The power team meeting went well, and a good number of the boards are now actually ready to be ordered (like drag-and-drop and then pay), so we're on schedule to order them next week. The Buck Boosts are up against that time limit tbh, but I was assured they'll be done by the end of next Saturday, and worst case, I can finish them myself next week.
After that I went home and thought about doing homework, and also my server shat it's pants AGAIN, so I spent a little time dealing with that. I think one of my hard drives is failing, but the logs are so hard to read and the failures don't make any sense, so I'm just having a grand old time.
The dock for my laptop is also still fucked, I didn't have time to disassemble it, so currently the dock is supplying USB/Monitor support, but not charging, so I have one of my backup chargers plugged in instead.
If I can't get it to work I might just buy an egpu, honestly. I've talked about this conundrum before, but the idea is that if a good dock is like $300, I might as well spend $600 and get an external graphics processor (for gaming), because it's something I'd wanted to do for forever, and the monitor I have now is definitely fast enough to actually use whatever horsepower I'd get.
We'll see. I'm still hopeful I can fix the dock I've got.
The Minecraft event tonight went great, honestly. We picked up costco pizza and sodas, and there were a solid 20 people in the common room playing minecraft. I was there for a good 4 hours, and there were still people playing when we did our 11PM walks. It was a really fun atmosphere, Minecraft is something that easily brings together a ton of people.
On call has been mostly quiet as well. There was some dumb shaving-cream vandalism in my bathroom that a resident (shoutout Justin!) and I cleaned up, and I wrote that report real fast, but it wasn't that bad.
