206: Gonna get my steps in today
I sure did get my steps in.
Today was pretty busy too, but I made it so, if that makes sense. I did some things I didn't have to do that made my day busier than if I had just been a loaf, and it was nice to be doing stuff, but I'm now a day behind on my stats (which will be fine, honestly), I just wish I had had time to do everything I wanted to today.
I went on a bike ride, which was definitely extra, but I fit it in, and it was really fun. I haven't ridden up behind campus in a long time, and they've redone some of the trails, so it's definitely an upgrade. The whole escapade was only like an hour and 45, and then I showered when I got home.
The ride, while not technically steps, counted for something like 5000 on my watch, which I appreciate. It was a good ride, there weren't many people out, and they're trails I know well, so I was flying the whole time.
The rest of the steps were after I got back;
Wind Power hosts an "Energy Innovation Conference" every year, and it was tonight. It's a club and industry presentation night, essentially, so each of some six clubs presented, and then I think it was also six companies this time. The event was way bigger than last year, and it was fun.
I was the photographer though, so I was on my feet, moving around the room for essentially the entire time (two hours). I totaled 14000 steps for the day, which is the highest I've had in a long time.
Suffice to say, I'm very tired; that event was from 6:30 to 10, and I didn't actually get home until probably 10:45, and then one of my residents had left his backpack there, so I had to get that figured out (I brought it up for him, but he wasn't home, etc.).
I'm gonna leave it there, because it's 11:57.
