186: Wed nes day
I've been pronouncing Wednesday in my head on purpose for quite a while (like years), and I don't quite know what the origin is, it's just one of those things.
I think it was probably originally a mnemonic for me to spell it properly, when I was little, but it's catchy, and the word is common enough that it ended up sticking.
I just realized as I was writing this that I think upgrading my monitor has accidentally massively upgraded my audio setup as well. I've just bee using the 3.5mm output jack on the monitor itself, because it works for both my laptop and my Xbox, and that's the same thing that I was using with my old one, but I played a song from one of my favorite albums just now (Good Faith by Madeon), and it just sounds way better.
I hadn't considered it, but it makes sense that a much higher-level monitor would have better audio processing and output gear, but I honestly didn't think that my old monitor was lacking, so it was kind of a surprise. I also think it's able to get significantly louder, because I've found myself running at much lower output volumes when listening to music.
It's also totally possible that what's actually changed is the configuration/placement of the speakers. I moved them pretty significantly closer together on the desk, and the one on the right used to be kinda hidden behind the laptop stand, so it's also likely that the configuration has better transmission.
