176: SNOWWW

It snowed today!! Only a little bit, and it'll all be gone in a day or two, but hey, at least it snowed once while I was here for break, I honestly expected to not see any snow at all.

I did try to skate in it, and the board actually performed fantastic, the grip those wheels have is insane, but the trucks are wider than the deck, and it's the right length that I'm effectively just standing on the wheels, so I just ended up spraying myself with water, all up my shoes and pants, which was great.

I need to waterproof those shoes, because if I did it honestly wouldn't have been too terrible, and I've been meaning to do that for a while, for the rains in SLO.

I put the shoes on the dryer, and my dad had some spray-on wax waterproofer stuff, so I'm going to try it on the shoes tomorrow.

I might also get to go snowboarding tomorrow! Claire works at a ski resort nearby, so she can rent me out stuff for free (she's a rental tech), and she has vouchers for super cheap lift tickets and also a lesson maybe, which would be awesome. I'll definitely eat shit repeatedly, but I really want to give it a go.
