175: "We don't vacation, we travel"
This is the brother in question, absolutely decked out in ridiculous christmas attire

The title is a quote from my brother today, about the way that my family spends our time off, and honestly, he's right.

He's talking about a trip my mom and I are taking over spring break, where we're flying into Amsterdam, staying for two days, taking the train to Stuttgart for a night (real ones know what's in Stuttgart), and then in Paris for a night, and then in Menton for a night, then Nice, then flying home.

We recently really haven't been taking vacations to places and just chilling there, but honestly, sans Disney Cruises, my family is really not very good at that kind of thing. My brother could probably do it, and my dad could make it work, but my family is very much one that runs on a schedule and has specific goals, so going somewhere and just crashing in a hotel with no attractions or activities in mind would quickly break down into boredom and unrest; hence 5 cities in as many nights for my mom and I.

I'm actually really looking forward to it, I love Europe, and I've never been to Germany or southern France, so it'll be some beautiful new places, and I'll have my camera, of course.

Stuttgart is where the Porsche headquarters are, so we're going to visit the Porsche museum, which I'm so excited for, and then there's also a Mercedes museum that we'll hit while we're there.

The best way to get to Menton (which is where my sister goes to school, visiting her is technically the point of the trip) is through Paris, and if we did it in one go it'll be like 11 hours by train, so we decided to just go Stuttgart-Paris (like 3 hours), and then stay the night in Paris and head to Menton the next morning (like another 6 hours). We won't really be in Paris long enough to do anything, but it's a cool place to be, and I fully intend to walk around and take photos that night.
