146: Fam in town

The asterisk in the photo description is because my dad drove me down at the beginning of this year, and was here at the end of last year, and winter break last year, and the beginning of last year, but the rest of my family hasn't been here since the photo was taken in October of '23. (shoutout road trip superhero my dad)

It's just my mom and her parents here (Hi mom!), because my brother is a bumhead and didn't want to hang out, but my sister is in France rn, and my dad is working, so they have good excuses.

Otherwise, today I rode my electric skateboard (which is almost perfectly functional, except for the motors hitting sometimes, and even then just a little) to Taqueria Santa Cruz Express, which is a really good little mexican place that's pretty close by (less than 10 mins by esk8, roughly 1.5 miles away). I got a breakfast burrito using my grubhub dollars, which was amazing, and then rode home to eat it. It was pretty good, and very warm.

I then cleaned my room, and played video games until my mom & grandparents arrived, around 2. We got them checked into their hotel, and went shopping at Costco for snacks and foodstuffs for me, which was amazing. I have a large assortment of snacks, my favorite quinoa microwave things, and a 24-pack of white monsters, which is ballin'.

We got dinner at the little SLO Ranch Market thing, which I'd never been to before, and was really good. We sat and chatted for a bit, and I got home at ~ 8:30.

Cody and I played Destiny until ~10:30, when HIS family got here (there will be no crossover episode), which was nice. I've since burned my time on the internet, and am now writing this post (it's 11:53).

I don't have much else to say, and am planning on e-skating to the hotel tomorrow morning for the free breakfast (which will be pretty good methinks), but we agreed on 8:30, so I think I'm going to have to dig into my new stash of monsters already (it's okay, there are some in the fridge).

Google says biking to the hotel would take 30 mins, and I can probably outpace that, but we'll see. I'm planning on leaving my room at ~8 tomorrow morning, so worst case I'm early.
