142: Ghost Town

142: Ghost Town
This is a photo from a particularly foggy night a couple weeks ago (I've been milking these photos pretty well)

Today has been very strange.

My instinct is to say that I didn't really get anything done, but I spent a solid 3 hours working on my carbon deck (sanding is done!), and then another 3 or 4 working on wind power design stuff.

I'm setting up the standards of design for our PCBs, so that everything is compatible and easy to put together. It isn't too hard, but it's a lot of important decisions that I have to make, so it's taxing.

I'm also on call right now, which started at 5 PM. It's only two of us for all of the red bricks and North Mountain (what would normally be almost 2000 students), so walks took us a hot minute. Exteriors took ~45 mins, and interiors a solid hour, but there were literally a whole two people we saw the whole time, so it wasn't too bad.

It genuinely might be the most steps I've gotten in a good while, because it was kind of a lot of walking, but I walked all of it normally, instead of skating.

I should probably get started on my homework for the break tomorrow, so it doesn't catch me by surprise later in the week. I also am probably overestimating how much time I have later in the week, because my mom and grandparents are coming down Wednesday-Saturday, so I shouldn't rely on those days to get a lot of work done. We'll see where I end up.

I think two, maybe 3 of my 47 residents are staying the break. One for sure, because he actually talks to me, the other two possibles are ones that I don't talk to ever, so it's just the off chance that I see them in the hallway during the week.

I need to go to the grocery store tomorrow, because everything on campus is closed. I didn't even really eat any meals today, if I'm going to be completely honest. I could and should have planned for this better, but so it goes I guess. I have a box of waffles, some of which I'll eat tomorrow probably.

It's 12:54 as I write this, and I have to pass the phone off at 10 AM, which means I actually have to get up, so I should go to bed.
