140: Very poorly optimized

Today was weird: I had Italian, which was great, and then I had a whole bunch of time to kill, because my 12-3 lab was cancelled (today is the "lab final", more on that in a minute), so I was just waiting until my 3-6. I spent most of that time in the library, working on personal stuff (I upgraded the map on mc.lukeoliver.net), and playing Silksong. I've put a solid 7 hours into that game in the last 3 or 4 days, which is both a lot and not a lot.

TSPMO, as the kids would say. TSPMO is short for "This Shit is Pissing Me Off", and it's one of the acronyms I like, because I think it's funny. Silksong is an incredibly hard game, and it's designed as such, but I'm kinda tired of just how hard it is. Of those 7 hours, I spent probably a solid 3 or 4 trying to beat literally two boss fights, and I still haven't beaten either. I decided to go figure out a better way, since this game is open enough that I can go do side quests and get better gear, and then return to the bosses later.

I looked up the best ways to beat those fights, because they PMO (that's Pissed Me Off), and there were a couple tools that I was missing that will definitely help a lot, as well as a character that you can effectively recruit by finishing their sidequest, which is awesome. I hadn't even really started that quest, so I went off on a side protocol to do that, because I think it'll make the one fight much easier, and I was getting tired of dying every 3 minutes and just doing the same thing again (definition of insanity or whatever).

The bullshit 12-3 lab shenanigans that are going on this week is that the lab final is posted, but it doesn't go live until the 26th (that's next wednesday) at 12:01AM, and then is due 5 PM on the 27th. Mans seriously made the LAB FINAL due ON THANKSGIVING DAY. I don't know whether he's just a rat bastard man, or if it was an accident in the system somehow, but I wouldn't even be that surprised if it was on purpose.
