377: A piece of home

377: A piece of home
This is a flower at the wall that I thought was pretty, and I like the relatively complicated background; it makes the focus more obvious and particular.

Today has been great!

I mentioned yesterday that we (a group of us) were going to go to the Monster Garden nearby, and that was the plan, but then the bus just..... drove past us this morning.

We also could not for the life of us figure out how to get the tickets, and were hoping to grab them on the bus itself, but then we were just... doomed.

The four of us (Adina, Avery, Emily, and myself) decided to just walk to a cafe and get breakfast/coffee, which was actually quite good. I got a great croissant for like 💶1.50, which is mildly insane to me. Everything feels so cheap here (food-wise, at least) and I don't know if it's confirmation bias because I don't really shop for the same stuff in the US, but it's definitely cheaper than in SLO.

We split back up and went home around 11, and then I just sat in my room and gamed until the afternoon.

I did do my Italian homework though!

The important thing in the afternoon was my good friend Luke is visiting, which is so much fun. He's been spending the summer in Merano, which is in the Dolomites, with some extended family, and had the time to come down this week and hang out, which is amazing.

His train arrived at 3:45, and I met him at the station and then walked back. We literally didn't stop talking (we hung out at my apartment and then went to the grocery store, then back at the apartment) until something like 9PM. It was honestly phenomenal.
