290: It's in the game
Today was weird, but also refreshingly normal. Shit happened. I sounded broken, but other than some coughing, actually felt okay.
I'm going to skip the boring and mundane parts, but Italian was good, 329 was good, and 308 was good. Wind Power was also good, because we finished off the report today, so I can stop worrying about it (though I wasn't doing a ton of worrying about it in the first place tbh).
The class today that was really fantastic was Italian Culture Through Film (which I usually just call Italian Film because writing out the whole thing is kinda annoying). I have been really loving this class, because it's interesting and fun and so easy. It feels a little bad to say that, but if this is what the standard business and everyone else classes are normally like, this shit is easy, and they have been getting a (comparatively) free ride.
The reason that class was so great is that we finished Divorce Italian Style, which ended in one of the ways I thoroughly didn't expect (HARD recommend though, amazing movie), and then we got to talk about it for a bit before we launched into our next topic, which is SPAGHETTI WESTERNS. I kinda love western movies, and learning about the history of the spaghetti western and how all of that came to be has been incredibly fun and interesting. Next class we're going to watch A Fistful Of Dollars, which is the first Spaghetti Western (starring Clint Eastwood of course) and looks like a ton of fun. Apparently it was the first movie to incorporate actual sound effects (gunshots, whips, etc) into the music, because the composer was just doin his own thing, and ended up being super duper important, which I'm a big fan of.
After that class I pit-stopped at the library to say hi to everybody that was there, and then headed home. I did have to zip down and take new glamour shots of this year's turbine (we didn't have any yet for the aforementioned report)
