285: It's 2:10 in the mornin'

285: It's 2:10 in the mornin'
Here's a photo from a train through the french countryside; taken at 200-some mph, of wind turbines 😄
I'm on the BQE
I wanna drive off the highway
In this Dream Machine
In this dream machine
It's 2:10 in the mornin'
It's 2:10 in the mornin'

Life came and it hit me like a bus
Maybe I'm not who I thought I was
It's 2:10 in the mornin'
It's 2:10 in the mornin'
It's 2:10 in the mornin'

Come take a trip to paradise
Are you ready?
Okay, let's do it

I saw you there
In a dream machine
Drive out of the nightmare
Come on, take a joyride in my
In my dream machine

It's 2003
And I've already disappointed a younger me
Survеy says I'll never make it, right?

Whеn we are free
The very end
Try to open your eyes
Feel the wind carry thoughts from your mind
Well, I promise, if you step inside (Step inside)
You-you-you will remember this

I saw you there (I saw you there)
In a dream machine (In a dream machine)
Drive out of the nightmare
Come on, take a joyride in my
Dream machine

[Guitar Solo]

I saw you there (I saw you there)
In a dream machine (In a dream machine)
Drive out of the nightmare
Come on, take a joyride in my (In my, in my, in my)
Dream machine
I saw you there (I saw you there)
In a dream machine (In a dream machine)
Drive out of the nightmare
Come on, take a joyride in my
Dream machine

This is the entire lyrics to Dream Machine by Des Rocs, a song that I actually mentioned not too long ago in 274: Life came and it hit me like a bus, this is the same song that line is from. It's not even my favorite song on the album (that would be Never Ending Moment or Natural Born Thriller), but it's the first song, and the title track, so I always have to go through it to get to the rest of the album (which I love), so it's the one that gets the most stuck in my head.

Putting the lyrics in their entirety in the post is something I did just because I thought it would be fun; this song doesn't have a ton of bearing on my life at the moment, but Des Rocs is one of those artists that I don't think I've ever heard anyone else play, and I've never met anyone else who knows them, so they hold a special place in my heart.

I found their music originally because Used to the Darkness, a song from their first EP, was used in a trailer for one of the Destiny 2 expansions, and I liked it so much I went and listened to literally every single other song they made, and I know both of their albums in their entirety.
